Hi, I'm Bentley an affectionate American Staffordshire Terrier / Labrador mix. I'm in need of a new home because my owner travels too much and doesn't have time for me. I enjoy hiking on cool days or just laying in your lap. I'm friendly with people, but choosy with other dogs. I'd do best in a home with an experienced dog owner, no dogs and no cats. I'm house and crate trained and know how to use a doggie door. I've also been leash trained and know some basic commands too. In my previous home it was noted that I have a fear of the wind and thunder and lightening.

I've been fortunate enough to be able to go for over night stays with my favorite C.A.R.L. volunteer Marion. She has been working with me and trying to find me my forever home. Since working with Marion, I'm great on walks and I do not react to most of the dogs we come across. I'm ok with Marion's 2 small dogs so if you have a dog as a family member, please bring him/her along so we can do a meet and greet. I get so excited when I see the leash come out as I know I'm getting to go out. Marion has been working with me on that with exercises that help with impulse control.

Marion says I'm a great dog in the home, house broken and love to just hang around. All I want is a warm, loving home. So whats not to like? If you have room in your heart and home for a guy like me, please stop by and meet me.
